Samurai Nobori Flags

A set of large unit flags for your 28mm samurai models, with clan symbols. These can be printed without supports.

These are tall banners for groups or armies of samurai and ashigaru warriors, called nobori. They are 70mm tall including the pole, and can be inserted into the fists of warrior models with a 2mm pin drill, or inserted into the wood and bamboo stand included in the set.

Two versions of each clan crest flag are included: one clan symbol (at the top), and another version with three clan symbols.

Nobori flags also make great decorations for castle walls, as shown in the images, and are still used in modern times for local town and shrine festivals, etc.

This downloadable ZIP file contains the following STL files for nobori flags:

  • BLANK FLAG (no symbols)
  • Asai (Shiga)
  • Hojo (Shizuoka)
  • Honda (Aichi)
  • Hosokawa (Kokura)
  • Kikuchi (Kyushu)
  • Mori (Yamaguchi)
  • Oda (Fukui)
  • Ogasawara (Kokura)
  • Shimazu (Kagoshima)
  • Takeda (Yamanashi)
  • Tokugawa (Gunma)
  • Yamato / Imperial
  • Ground stand for nobori flags
* Samurai model and castle walls not included.

Thanks to Wade Lockhart for the idea!

Smaller sashimono flags for back banners on individual warriors, and wooden pavises are also available.
