Printing the Necrontyr card box

2020-07-12 by David

Hot on the heels of yesterday's reveal of the Ruined Wall section for the city walls, comes this new gaming accessory for the Necrontyr range - the Card Box!

Some of you video gamers might recognise this design, as it's based on the glowing "summoning core" from the Dawn of War video game!

This one, however, doesn't have a big void through the middle - instead, the central circle of the design is used as the 'button' for opening the card box. Gently squeeze front and back, and you can slide the lid off.

The box is 3cm deep inside, and can hold about 80 cards. The Necron datacard pack for 40K gamers, for example, is 71 cards, and is a perfect fit for this box.

Once you've taken out your game cards, you can even use this box as a neat piece of terrain too! Here's a size comparison against a Necron warrior model.

This card box will be hitting the paint desk this weekend, along with the ruined wall sections, and should be released in a few days. Watch this space...
