Printing the Necrontyr card box

2020-07-12 by David

Hot on the heels of yesterday's reveal of the Ruined Wall section for the city walls, comes this new gaming accessory for the Necrontyr range - the Card Box!

£ Some of you video gamers might recognise this design, as it's based on the glowing "summoning core" from the Dawn of War video game!

This one, however, doesn't have a big void through the middle - instead, the central circle of the design is used as the 'button' for opening the card box. Gently squeeze front and back, and you can slide the lid off.

£ The box is 3cm deep inside, and can hold about 80 cards. The Necron datacard pack for 40K gamers, for example, is 71 cards, and is a perfect fit for this box.

£ Once you've taken out your game cards, you can even use this box as a neat piece of terrain too! Here's a size comparison against a Necron warrior model.

This card box will be hitting the paint desk this weekend, along with the ruined wall sections, and should be released in a few days. Watch this space...
